Time for a matinée...

On Tuesday the Senate passed by unanimous consent H.R. 5893, Library of Congress Sound Recording and Film Preservation Programs Reauthorization Act.

In a summary by the Congressional Budget Office, H.R. 5893 would authorize appropriations of between $1 million and about $1.5 million for the National Recording Preservation Board, the National Recording Preservation Foundation, the National Film Preservation Board, and the National Film Preservation Foundation through fiscal year 2016.

The bill now awaits the signature of the President before becoming law.
