"The Mysterious Lost State of Franklin" airs nationwide on PBS...

Readers may recall my review of "The Mysterious Lost State of Franklin," a documentary which originally aired locally on PBS stations throughout Tennessee last year. It's an outstanding film that deserves wider attention, and it looks like others agree with me.

PBS has picked up "The Mysterious Lost State of Franklin" and plans to air it nationally on Sunday, July 1st. Air times are 10:30-11:00 p.m. ET; with a repeat on Friday, July 6, 2012, 10:30-11:00 p.m. ET. I was pleasantly surprised to see that an excerpt of my review was quoted in the press release in advance of the national airing.

If you missed this documentary the first time, and want to learn more about Tennessee's complex and fascinating history prior to statehood, I would encourage you to set your DVR's and tune in for this excellent program.
